We are a grassroots network developed BY local business owners, FOR business owners.

A collaborative team of local professionals worked together to launch the original Santa Barbara Business Expo in 2013, lead by Sandy Goe, and co-founded with her husband Gino Goe, owner of G&G Construction and Property Maintenance. The annual expo provides opportunities for learning from keynote speakers, networking with other business owners and professionals, showcasing your business, and meeting new prospective clients.

Visionaries and mastermind contributors for the 1st annual SBBE included Sandy and Gino Goe, Patty DeDominic, Gene Sinser, Taylor Reaume, Sloane Reali, Dawn Thorpe, Robin Eschler, Julia St. Morgan, Kathy Ackley, Emily Atkins, and many volunteers, with the collaboration of local business networks, Women Economic Ventures (WEV), Goleta and Carpinteria Chambers of Commerce, SCORE, Scheinfeld Center of Entrepreneurship, and others.

Each year a team works together to design and produce an interactive event that serves with productive take aways for all who participate and attend.

New Doors Open for College Student:

Hi Sandy!

It was great to finally meet you in person. I went to the Business Expo back in 2015, and I had a great time, and learned a lot.. I attended San Marcos High and was part of the Entrepreneurship Academy, and had a great passion for business throughout my high school career. Going to the Business Expo was extremely exciting, and I made numerous valuable connections throughout the day. I even was able to land an internship with one of the companies! It was the first real job I ever put on my resume, and it was a fantastic learning opportunity. Thank you for putting on such a great event every year, it served as a great inspiration for me, and I’m sure it will continue to do so for other kids just like me in the future..

Also, I attached a photo of me from the event with one of the many fantastic people I met! Thank you again.

A Fresh New Start for a Retiree:

Last year I was invited to a S.B. Business Expo by my friend Sandy Goe. I wasn’t sure how I would benefit by attending the event. I have been retired for a few years, and was not participating in any business. Even though God has been opening doors for me to experience new adventures, I was basically very insecure. The only reason that I attended the event was to support my friend. What a surprise!! It was so fun to meet and chat with so many different people. It became such a special day. There was something there for everybody, and I was enjoying being right in the middle. As for me among all the people I met that day, I came across a woman that was promoting Toastmasters. We talked and she invited me to a meeting. What in the world would I do there, at a Toastmasters meeting? Once again I made the choice to try something new. This was not my usual move. Well, I went to the meeting and loved everything about it. The people are warm and made me feel so welcome and comfortable. Every time we attend we learn something new. How to be a public speaker, to practice interpersonal communication, and to be a good listener. These are just some of the things, but the best is making new friends.

Within this year I have won several 1st place blue ribbons, three trophies and had the honor of representing my group by being in two competitions. I am having a wonderful time.

Who would ever think that attending the S.B. Business Expo that I would experience the beautiful time at a Toastmasters meeting. Never realizing my horizon would be so broaden.
