Santa Barbara Business Network Promotes Healthy Living – Press Release

Grassroots local business network, the Santa Barbara Business Network, is rolling out a wellness series embodying informative events themed on wellness, encompassing wellness over all: healthy bodies, healthy business, healthy families, healthy community.  The network comprises of local business professionals and connections that reach out nationally and internationally.

SBBN Health and Wellness Workshop flyerThe first event, the SBBN Health & Wellness Workshop, is taking place at the Montecito YMCA located at 591 Santa Rosa Lane, Santa Barbara, on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 10AM to 3PM.  It is open to the public, admission is free.  The event includes informative presentations and exhibitors sharing their knowledge and expertise, including gut health, dental health, cancer prevention, cancer recovery, physical fitness, breathing and relaxing exercises, vocal coaching, and more.  Other exhibitors include those offering information on health insurance, financial wellness and protection, even captioned telephone options.  The charity of choice for this event is the American Cancer Society Patient Services.

Exhibits include Purium organic superfood nutrition and lifestyle brand with samples to taste, Heath Montgomery Dental, Miller Family Chiropractic, Stevens & Associates Insurance sharing health insurance options, New York Life with Free Child I.D. Card production, Vocal Coaching by Sloane with interactive presentation, CAPTel captioned telephone services, YMCA Wellness with a table for children’s arts and crafts, and the Santa Barbara Business Network (SBBN) with an informative table on network benefits and registration.  Additionally Kristin Renee Photography will be on-site 10:30AM-1:30PM offering complimentary sitting (usually $250) for family portraits and professional headshots. She will upload photos to a gallery where participants may purchase photos of their choice at a special network discounted pricing starting at only $6 for 4×6 photos, digital file for only $25 each.

Door prizes and raffles are included in the activities. One of the door prizes is the INEVIFIT EROS Bluetooth Body Fat Scale Smart BMI Highly Accurate Digital Bathroom Body Composition Analyzer with Wireless Smartphone APP, donated by CEO Derek and Kamila Patron.  An additional three Body Fat Scales will be raffle prizes at the American Cancer Society (ACS) table – 100% of ticket sales will be donated to the ACS.

B-Well 1st MONDAYS

Following the Health & Wellness Workshop, is the series of B-Well 1st Mondays which the Santa Barbara Business Network will be hosting on the second floor at Workzones, located at the Paseo Nuevo mall in downtown Santa Barbara.  The series is a collaboration of SBBN Leadership members who specialize in the financial and legal field of business: Edward Jones, New York Life, and Legal Shield.  The first in the series will take place on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 5:30pm at Workzones, with the topic: Work, Life, & Balance. Monday, November 4th is on Healthy Budgets, and Monday, December 2nd is on Business Acts of Kindness in the spirit of the holiday season.

The Santa Barbara Business Network encourages the building of Business Friendships through sharing times of learning, connecting and networking with other business professionals.  Leadership members take the lead in hosting educational workshops, such as this series focusing on Business Wellness. Contributors for this workshop series include SBBN Leadership members who specialize in finance, legal and business: Irene Kelly (Edward Jones), Gabriel Papa (New York Life), Emily Atkins (Legal Shield), and Sandy Goe (CEO, SBBN).  SBBN events are interactive and collaborative; each contributor (writer, speakers) are representative of their own business and viewpoints; inclusion does not imply endorsement of SBBN.
